Meet the Kenyon Construction Team

The employees at Kenyon Construction Inc. have experience and education in the construction field. Their experience has been diversified, including working for several other contractors, and working in various areas of the field on a variety of projects. Among their employees are several licensed Building Contractors and a Registered Professional Engineer. They all also have gained membership in the Northern Michigan Code Officials Associations, Associated Builders and Contractors, Michigan Home Builders Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, the Michigan Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Michigan Society of Profession Engineers.

 

Michael W. Prevo, President

Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Mike joined Kenyon Construction Inc. staff in 1996. Since then he has been coordinating and managing construction projects all over Northeast Michigan. In 2012 Mike became a Co-Owner in Kenyon Construction Inc. In 2018 Mike purchased the balance the company and is now it's President. Mike is very involved with his family and many of the area volunteer organizations. When not working Mike enjoys traveling with his family.

 

Robert J. Kenyon Jr., P.E.,Senior Engineer

Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Bob retired as President of Kenyon Construction Inc.in 2018 and took on the role of Senior Engineer.  Bob served as President of Kenyon Construction since 1985 when his father, Robert J. Kenyon, Sr. retired. Bob enjoys spending time traveling, visiting his grandchildren, hunting, and fishing.

Tamyra M. Hubert, Office Manager

Tammy has been with the company since 1988. She is our Office Receptionist, Secretary, Payroll Manager, and Bookkeeper. Tammy also takes care of our project contracts, project cost, project invoicing, sworn statements, Waivers of Lien, Notice of Commencements, permit applications, and many many more project administrative duties. Tammy is very involved with her family and the community. Whenever possible she loves to go camping or spend time at their cabin in Canada.

Wade Kowalewsky, Field Supertendent

Wade has many years in the construction field. He is a graduate of the Alpena Community College Concrete Tech Program. Before joining Kenyon Construction Inc. in 2006 Wade was a Building Inspector for Garfield Township. He spends his spare time with his family including his two sons. He also enjoys hunting and fishing.

Norman R. McDonald, Mason

Norman, known as Rick, has been with Kenyon Construction Inc. since 1980. He is an excellent concrete finisher and block/stone mason along with doing carpenter work. Rick retired from full time employement with Kenyon Construction in 2017.  Rick now works part time when his expert level skills are required.  When he is not working or spending time with his wife & family, he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Harley D. James, Carpenter

Harley, a Licensed Builder, is a very accomplished carpenter who specializes in finish carpentry work.. Harley has been with Kenyon Construction Inc. since 1985. Harley retired from full time employeement from Kenyon Construction in 2016. He now works part time when his expert level carpentry skills are required.  Some of Harley's finished work can be seen at the Hillman Elementary School where Harley built the display cases for the schools trophies.

Paul Morrison, Equipment Foreman

Paul started working at Kenyon Construction Inc. in 1991. After an extended absence Paul came back to work for Kenyon Construction in the summer of 2013. He is one of our equipment operators and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of excavating. He is also a skilled mechanic. He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and kids.

Billy Vogt, Mason Foreman

Billy started with Kenyon Costruction in 1996. After an extended absence he returned to us in the spring 2020. Billy has many years of carpentry, masonry, and equipment operating experience. In his spare time Billy enjoys hunting, playing sports, fishing, and traveling with his family.

Andrew Samp, Carpenter Foreman

Andy joined our team in 2014 and has many years in the carpentry field. He is a very skilled carpenter who specializes in rough framing. He has a son who he loves spending time with as well as hunting and fishing.

Roger Jones, Carpenter/Mason

Roger has been with Kenyon Construction since 2014. He has exprience in both carpentery and masonry. He loves to hunt and fish in his spare time along with spending time with his daughter.

Cody Greene, Carpenter Foreman

Cody joined our company in 2014. He is a graduate of Hillman Community Schools and has many years of construction experience. Cody has graduated from the Associated Builders and Contractors Construction Academy. Cody also placed 3rd in the 2009 National Craft Championship competition in Honolulu, Hawaii for his expertise in carpentry. In his spare time he loves enjoying hunting and fishing and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Keith Vanderveer, Carpenter

Keith joined our company in 2014. Keith also fills in as a Foreman on small jobs for us when needed. In his spare time he is very invlolved with the Hillman Sports Boosters and loves to be outdoors. He also enjoyes spending time with his kids.

Zach Auger, Carpenter

Zach originally joined our crew in 2015 as part time summer help as a general laborer. In 2018 after he graduated from Alpena High School Zach became a full time employee. Zach has an interest and is learning the the carpentry as well as the masonry field.  In his spare time enjoys duck hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Charles Banks, Carpenter/Mason

Charles known as Bubba joined our company in 2017. Bubba is carpenter and mason. Bubba started with Kenyon Contruction right out of high school as a general laborer and has worked his way into a training as a mason. In his spare time he refs the local sporting events and spends time fishing.

Mark Miller, Carpenter

Mark joined our crew in spring of 2019. He is a graduate of Alpena High School. Mark is also a veteran of United States Armed Forces Army National Guard. When not working Mark is an avid hunter and fishermen.

Chuck Bennett, Carpenter

Chuck joined our crew in the fall of 2019. He is a graduate of Hillman Community Schools. Chuck has many years of experience in equipment and oil fields. In his spare time enjoys following the sporting events of his kids, hunting, and fishing.

Shaun Rice, Carpenter Foreman

Shaun joined the Kenyon Construction team in 2019. Shaun studied Construction Trades at the Capital Area Career Center for two years. He is a skilled carpenter with 20 years of construction experience. In Shaun's spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Duane Brown, Carpenter/Mason

Duane joined our crew in the fall of 2019. Duane has many years of experience in the masonry field as well as operating equipment. In his spare time enjoys building hot rods, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
